Getting Ready to Go

Our friend Jose Luis said he hoped we would be "pruned" in our upcoming six weeks in Haiti.  Of course he was referring to John 15.  The pruning has started as we have to decide what to take and what to leave at home.

And, as we have looked at our garden, we realize the seasons will indeed change while we are gone.  So we have been doing lots of pruning and tossing there.  It's a bit sad to throw away annuals that are still prospering, but it seems the right thing to do.  I guess we are already adding to life's lessons.

And, we already have so many people we are obliged to - who have agreed to take care of our house and garden while we are gone.  Thank you!
